My new bedside read!
I received this book from Connie, from our September Swap.I think I will really enjoy this book,just from reading the jacket, it sounds like a suspense story.Connie also sent me a box of chocolates,yummy!!!!! and inside was a giftcard for Waldon--Borders bookstores yippie!!!!!! Thank you so much Connie I know I will enjoy it all.

Not sure who sent this to me,but I am so excited, because The cotton Peaches and Cream, and Sugar and Creme are my favorite yarns, for dishtowels.The other is Cotton Ease, which I am not sure what I will do with it yet,and I love the colors of all the yarns, I also received the best smelling Gardinia room freshener, and a magnetic note pad, with a little note pad, and 2 page marker pads.If you know who sent this, please let me know,so I can thank them.If you wish to stay annonimous, that's fine to.I just want to say, Thank You to You!I love it all.
Mindy is so sweet and talented look what I received from her today!
Mindy sent the cutest garland red and blue with snowmen, now I will take down my Thanksgiving garland and replace it with this one,she also sent this awesome book for hand made items for all occassions,I can hardly wait to start on some of them,also a spool of ribbon,which is red and says Merry Christmas,which I know will be used for sure and the cutest little tags I already know who will have them on their gifts,hehehe and my favorite Apple Cider Drink mix.yummie Thank you Mindy you did great.Now back to work on your December package.hehehehe guess what I am up to?

This swap was fun and left everyone in suspense.We had to make a purse or bag any size and mail it to the moderator.Who then sent everyone one of the bags,she chose who received which bag,so we had no idea which one was ours.My bag was made by Linda Bean,it is so cute and of course I love bags,so everyone knows I will use it.I think it will hang next to my desk to hold my journals.Thanks Linda I love it and the artwork attached.This was a fun swap and I really enjoyed it.
I received this postcard and note today, from Chara Michele,thanking me for being in her Fall swap,Which was her first swap she ever hosted.I really had fun with this swap and enjoyed meeting lots of new people.Thanks Chara for a great swap and I am looking forward to the next one,if you decide to do another.
Well today we break our tradition.This will be the first time in over 30 years,we are not having Thanksgiving dinner at our home.We are invited to have Thanksgiving dinner with our oldest son and his family.We currently have my father-in-law staying with us,due to health reasons,so we will be bringing him to.That means we will have 4 generations there today.My father-in-law is not the oldest in his family,he is 82 yrs old,but my husband is his oldest son,he is 59 yrs old,then our son is our oldest,he is 36 yrs old, and his oldest is a daughter who is 15 yrs old. I will try to get a picture of the 4 of them today and post it this evening.I think it will be a wonderful day for everyone.I hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful,love filled and Happy Thanksgiving!!
Here is the picture I promised.From left to right,my hubby Larry Sr..Larry Jr.,Bethany,and Joseph.We had a wonderful day and great conversation and awesome food.We all ate to much of course.But we enjoyed being with the family more than anything.We really had a great time.I want to say thanks to Larry Jr. and Linda for everything.

I received a package today from my Secret Santa Vanessa!
Vanessa sent me a note to discribe each of the decorations she sent,a little plastic dish, which I will use as a decoration to hold a Christmas candle,A plaque which she painted and collaged herself,to hang on the wall and a few cards to either send to family, or to use as tags,and some tea, which I think I need to try, because I am having trouble trying to shake a bad cold and this tea is expecially for cold weather, to help you breathe better,I sure need that!She also sent me a round box decorated like a drum with a note attached which reads TO BE OPENED ON CHRISTMAS EVE! OH the suspence is going to drive me nuts!lol OK I will be good and wait to open it. Thank you Vanessa for everything.You were a good santa.
I received a package from my Secret Pal.This is my second package.One more to go, before I find out who she is!
This package I received yesterday,I did find out, she is from Canada,but that's all I know about her.lol Anyway we are in The Secret Pal Swap Crochet Group together and she sent me this pretty yarn and a crochet needle,(never can have to many crochet needles right) and these little folding scissors which I had been wanting but never gotten,now I have a pair and have already started using them. Thanks Secret Pal,I love it all.

Can you believe all of this was stuffed into a shoe box! Traci sent me,lots of yummy stuff like the M&M's ,hot chocolate,and oreo cookies,I am one happy lady.lol She also sent me a small sized,cookbook(The Great American Cookbook) which has some awesome recipes in it,I can't wait to try out.She also sent me two kinds of teas(peppermint,and mango)I think will be great for these cool days ahead.I also got a very pretty bookmark and a snowman magnetic picture frame and a ceramic santa ornament,which I collect both Santas and Snowmen.She also gave me an awesome smelling candle in a tin(pumpkin and spice)I also collect tins, and a can or mug cozy, with my initial on it, which I am using as I write,it is keeping my coffee warm.But the best part is this awesome yarn,two skiens of hand painted 100% merino wool and I love the colors!Now what to make with it? I am thinking socks ,if ever I can figure out how to knit them.lol Anyone want to help me? OK Mary if you are reading this I know you are drooling over my yarn,but you need to stop before it gets wet.lol
My mail person must be tired she had to deliver 2 packages today.This one is from Cathy T from the Da Booklady Swap Blog.
She sent me this wonderful package,I love the pattern she chose for the hat and scarf and the yarn will be just right for me,she also sent the crochet needle for me to use on it.She sent me this pretty coffee mug and a bowl,which I think I will use as a candy dish and fill it with the yummy M& M's she sent me.OH I almost forgot the wonderful smelling candle it is Crandberry Manderine scented,smells good enough to eat,but I will eat the candy instead.lol
I got this great package from Bren today!
OK let me start off by saying, I visit Bren blog daily and I have been drooling over this turkey,never once thinking it was for me.I love it and it will sit on my desk and check out the HARVEST garland it will be displayed on my mantel,these two things she made herself just for me.I feel so special.She also sent me these pretty little magnets,they each have a glass top with a flower in it.Thank you so much Bren you are the best!
OH WOW UPS CAME AND I RECEIVED ANOTHER SWAP PACKAGE! The swap theme was Thriller,well I was thrilled when I opened this box!
Jayne D. sent me 2 books by my favorite author Laura Ingalls Wilder and it is 2 I have not read yet.Yipee! She also sent me a mini book called Quilting Quotations Celebrating An American Legacy which I will treasure I love quilting and this little book is awesome. I also got 2 boxes of Russell Stover assorted chocolates,a 2008 calendar,a silver credit card holder,a folding umbrella in a case,a cootie bug candle holder with a candle,a bobble teddy bear holding a cathead basket,a friendship coffee mug with a pack of instant cappuccino mix,so guess what I will be doing later(yep reading and sipping from new mug) she sent 5 of the prettiest friendship stitch markers on a key ring with a hook,I have already attached them to the strap on my tote bag with my knitting(can't say what I am knitting because the receiver of that gift may read this)lol also a very sweet note in a cute card.
My partner Amanda P. chose Everything Beautiful as the name for my swap package.
Amanda chose to wrap everything in my favorite colors of blue,pink and lavender tissue paper.She sent me the cotton fleece yarn in Lilac Haze for me to make myself a shawl and a wonderful book to choose that pattern from-Amazing Crochet Lace and I found the perfect pattern for myself in this book.Thank you Amanda! She also sent me a crochet hook in the size I I would need,and 3 tubes of soak for my knit and crochet garments in flora,citrus and aquae scents,an apple cinnamon candle in a tin and a cinnamon apple candle,a sheep tape measure which I will have fun watching his tail grow,lol 3 bars of soap in lavender rosemary,lavender goat milk,and lavender shea butter scents,a bag of dark chocolate espresso beans,which I can hardly wait to try,a very pretty lavender card with the sweetest note.Thank you so much Amanda you really made my day and you did a great job,I really enjoyed this swap!
